I chose the M over the 5.0 after driving them both and finding the M to be in another league. It just satisfies on so many levels. Your mileage may vary, but I traded in my 1 year old M3 on it and I do not miss the M3.........Steve __________________ 10 BMW X5 M Silverstone w/Black on Black interior - Loaded 12 CTS-V Coupe Thunder Gray - Loaded 13 Ford GT500 (650HP Priceless!!!!) as soon as can be delivered 05 F430 F1 - Giallo 08 BMW M3 Interlagos Blue Metallic - DCT (Traded) |

What sppecifically did they change? Does the X5M have a electrical water pump too? (2011) Also, is there a way to tell if an X5 has had the water pump replaced? Really,...don't drive one if you don't plan to buy one! In fact,..don't ever drive an ///M vehicle if you don't ever plan to buy one! ...in parting, I will leave with this,...as some may concur,..."it's a thrill a minute",...and yet others may argue,..."a thrill a second"! __________________ JMD |

BlackX5 Private First Class 18Rep 102Posts Drives: TL TypeS Join Date: Feb 2016 Location: Dallas , TX iTrader: (0) | Looks like they have more than 1 electric pump. "Together with other features, a second low-temperature radiator with an additional electrical coolant pump improves the intercooling function on the new M TwinPower Turbo. This optimises the performance of indirect intercooling in particularly dynamic driving cycles. And last but not least, an additional electrical coolant pump with an after-running function serves to cool the bearing mounts on the turbochargers after switching off the engine." Every time I read posts from members I keep discovering new issues Last edited by BlackX5; 01-21-2018 at 09:03 PM.. |
