Yes it's straight, I had it aligned last week as I read about the 6° tolerance (but it was within tolerance before alignment). That doesn't cure the problem. Or better, when I removed the sensor I had to unplug the battery after that as I said the sensor worked for two days and died again. At that time the scanner was returning 2 errors: c1140 (steering angle sensor) and c1504 (steering angle sensor not initialized). After reinitialization I could clear DTCs and now I have c1140 again. I unplugged the battery for several hours, the error persists c1140. Initializing is not possible, it seems the ESP ecu doesn't see the sensor at all.
