One Volume and one Tone control. 5-way selector switch. The humbucker has two wires. One is the ground and the other is the lead. I'm looking for the easiest setup to wire up. Any and all advice/help is greatly appreciated. moosie

So for wiring purposes, think of it as a single coil. What can you do with a SSS Strat, with a five-way switch, and master tone knob. Standard Strat wiring comes to mind... Of course, it still depends what kind of 5-way switch is in there. If it's a Strat type switch, then it's really a three position with two detents that capture positions 2 & 4. If it's a super switch of some kind with five actual throws, then you could do a little more, perhaps. Depends what you want it to do. But for simple sake, just use a standard Strat diagram for SSS. Yes, it's Strat type switch. That's the way I'll go. Thanks. telestratosonic

This requires a super switch to selectively apply the resistor to positions 3-5. With a stock Strat switch, you can either apply the resistor to positions 4-5, or 2-5. moosie

If you want positions 1 & 2 to both see 500k, then remove the red jumper on the switch. The tradeoff is that position 3 will also see 500k, which you may not like. I show a 500k resistor, but a 470k is more common, and should be plenty close enough. Screen Shot 2020-02-03 at 05.45.19 PM.png jimgchord

The guitar presently has 500k pots. I was going to replace them with new 500k pots. moosie

So, a pair of 500s will be fine. But, assuming the other two pickups are true singles, they might not sound very good without the resistor. I find that 500k pots against Strat singles sounds 'sterile'. telestratosonic
