My 1/8 scalers are built much stronger, are half the weight, and I break stuff on them. I looked at it and although the price seems attractive I just know I would break that thing up within 15 minutes everytime I started it. You wouldn't buy a toy grade R/C at the local discount store and put one of your nitro engines in it and expect it to hold up would you? Me neither. Save a few more pounds and buy something of good quality that has good parts support also and you won't be dissappointed. I have many nitros and since I've had my largescale it has quickly become my favorite. Cheers! jimjeep is offline Reply Like jimjeep View Public Profile Send a private message to jimjeep Find More Posts by jimjeep View iTrader Profile Old 12-18-2007, 01:43 AM #6 help-me Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: somerset, UNITED KINGDOM Posts: 117 Likes: 0 Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts Default RE: XRC RC-2 BUGGY YES OR NO Heres one to consider a total copie of the hpi baja, looks just like it and all parts fit. I dont own one of these or sell them by the way i just think its a good way to go as its cheap and parts are easy to get seeing the hpi parts fit it. http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/BRAND-NEW-23-C...QQcmdZViewItem help-me is offline Reply Like help-me View Public Profile Send a private message to help-me Find More Posts by help-me View iTrader Profile Old 12-18-2007, 01:48 AM #7 sheograth Moderator sheograth's Avatar Join Date: Jun 2007 Location: Berkeley, CA Posts: 11,829 Likes: 0 Received 2 Likes on 2 Posts Default RE: XRC RC-2 BUGGY YES OR NO Theres no reason to get that instead of a real Baja... sheograth is offline Reply Like sheograth View Public Profile Send a private message to sheograth Find More Posts by sheograth View iTrader Profile Old 12-18-2007, 10:36 AM #8 help-me Senior Member Join Date: Apr 2007 Location: somerset, UNITED KINGDOM Posts: 117 Likes: 0 Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts Default RE: XRC RC-2 BUGGY YES OR NO Yes there is that one is around half the price of a real baja. If you bust enough parts your still driving a slower more expensive to run unit. Parts are near impossible to come by on line if you are lucky and paying the shipping to get them from outside the US you'd be better off saving up to get an Hpi Baja, or FG.. The only other route you might consider taking is the Smartech brand.. Otherwise do yourself a favor and STAY FAR FAR AWAY... Good luck.. I've yet to hear a single good thing about XRC stuff. When youre in this hobby, its worth it to save money, and spend more on a better product. You get what you pay for in RC. sheograth is offline Reply Like sheograth View Public Profile Send a private message to sheograth Find More Posts by sheograth View iTrader Profile Old 12-20-2007, 12:56 PM #13 Cainlord Senior Member Join Date: Jan 2006 Location: , ND Posts: 196 Likes: 0 Received 0 Likes on 0 Posts Default RE: XRC RC-2 BUGGY YES OR NO Are you talking about the first version of the second? I have seen the second version on ebay for about $550 shipped and I think it may be new. Not sure. Thing is, has the second version really corrected the problems or are they still ongoing? I also can't find anywhere that stocks it online, so it would be a big no no fo rme.
