Cleveland, Ohio will host the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend and the second All-Star Saturday Night event will be the 36th annual NBA 3-point Contest, which will feature some of the league's best long distance shooters.

For this year, all contestants will be looking to win this event for the first time, as reigning champion and the greatest three-point shooter in NBA history, Stephen Curry, will not be defending his crown.

However, two of the participants have already been in previous editions, Zach LaVine and Trae Young, although the apparent favorite to be the winner of the MTN Dew 3-Point Contest in 2022 is Fred VanVleet, with the best three-point shooting statistics in the current season.

Will veteran or youth prevail in three-point shooting?

The big question is whether Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse will see a veteran like Mills or the league's young blood like Young prevail, even with the possibility of a former Slam Dunk Contest winner, LaVine, now getting it done in this event.

Since a legend like Larry Bird won the first three editions of the 3-point Contest, several figures have joined that list and in the 2022 edition we will see a new player be part of this select category in a contest that promises many emotions.
