What Time Does The NBA 3-Point Contest Start? TV Schedule, Live ...

For the third time in NBA history, Cleveland will host the All-Star Weekend. The 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend, the 71st edition of the spectacle, will take place during the league's landmark 75th season. 

Coincidentally, each of the previous times the city has hosted the midseason extravaganza, the league has celebrated a landmark season: 35th (1981) and 50th (1997).

This season's schedule of events for the All-Star Weekend is back to the regular three-day format from Friday to Sunday.

What time does the NBA 3-Point Contest start?

• Day, Date: Saturday, Feb. 19
• Time: 8 p.m. ET

This year's MTN DEW 3-Point Contest is back as the second of three events on State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which is scheduled to start at 8 p.m. ET at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland. 

How to watch the NBA 3-Point Contest

The 3-Point Contest will be broadcast on TNT in the United States and TSN 4/5 in Canada.

3-Point Contest participants, format

• Fred VanVleet, Toronto Raptors

Each competitor will have 70 seconds (1:10) to shoot as many of the 27 balls as they can, with a maximum possible score of 40 points in a round.  The three competitors with the highest scores in the first round will advance to the championship round.  The player with the highest score in the championship round will win the MTN DEW 3-Point Contest.

NBA All-Star schedule 2022

Below is the schedule of events for the 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend from Feb. 18-20. 

On Friday, the Ruffles NBA All-Star Celebrity Game will be played at 7 p.m. ET at the Wolstein Center in Cleveland and will be broadcast on ESPN. That will be followed by the Clorox Rising Stars at 9 p.m. ET on TNT at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.

On Saturday, the State Farm All-Star Saturday Night, which tips off at 8 p.m. ET, includes three events: Taco Bell Skills Challenge, MTN DEW 3-Point Contest and AT&T Slam Dunk Contest. 

On Sunday, the Weekend's headline event - the 71st NBA All-Star Game - will be played at 8 p.m. ET at the Rocket Mortgage FieldHouse in Cleveland.
