Once you have read the Tips and Beginners Guide, use these Advanced Tips to take your game to the next level!

Advanced Combat

Two key advanced combat moves that will make or break you on the battlefield is the High-Speed Dodge and Counter. These moves can be used to give you a leg up against your opponents catching them off balance.

  • High-Speed Dodge: The high speed dodge is triggered by pressing R1/RB immediately before an opponent makes contact with a rush attack. If executed properly, your fighter will vanish, reappearing directly behind your opponent. This will allow you to deal unblocked damage while their back is turned.
  • High-Speed Counter: Similar to the high speed dodge, the high-speed counter is triggered by pressing Square/X right before an opponent makes contact with an attack. This will block their attack automatically and immediately deal a countering blow.

On top of the normal chase maneuver triggered by L1/LB, you can also trigger a chase in the middle of a rush combo while in air. To execute this maneuver, press Cross/A in the middle of a rush combo. This will shorten the distance quicker than a normal rush and allows an opening to switch fighters as the other finishes the combo.

Holding L2/LT instead of tapping it will call in a partner support instead of switching out your current fighter. This can be used to chain combos together and continue your attack when you may have hit your rush move limit of 7.

Tilting the Left stick up or down while doing a rush combo will trigger two different attacks, launching your enemy in the direction you are pointing the stick. This can be used to extend the end of rush combos but also be used to create a distance so you can charge your ability bar and unleash one of your abilities on your opponent.

That all the advanced combat tips available for Jump Force, as the game doesn't offer much in terms of levels of combat. Go out there and fight!
