Sep 29, 2000 70,150 5 0 As the title states...I can't bring it down in the plane, even with checked in luggage. So, I can ship it, but how? Will standard mail have no problem with it? Would I just declare it as a paintball gun and it will go on through to me in the US?CrackRabbit

Mar 30, 2001 16,642 62 91 UPS or Fedex should be viable carriers. Check and see what some paintball shops use to ship.SeaSerpent

Aug 8, 2000 4,168 1 81 www.thesystemsengineer.com You are allowed to bring a gun on the plane. It just has to be checked in. Most airports don't even check what gets checked in. Aabaez

Jan 28, 2000 7,155 1 81 This should not be a problem as long as it is in checked luggage. Airtanks are another thing though, they want it completely empty (normal) and the regulator UNSCREWED (pita) before being checked in. You could try your luck and hope they don't catch it though.BigFatCow

Aug 11, 2001 3,373 1 0 I know you can check a real gun so i dont see why you wouldnt be able to check a paintball gun, the only thing i can see you having problems with are that your coming into the US from canada, and possibly the co2 tank.Spydermag68

Apr 5, 2002 2,616 99 91 The regulators on HPA and CO2 tanks are not designed to be consently removed and installed. Some touraments are now renting HPA tanks for the games since you have to basicly have to get the tank hydro-tested before it can be certified safe again for play after removeral of the regulator.StageLeft

Sep 29, 2000 70,150 5 0 Hmm, I will call air canada then. Checked seems fine, but I know a lot of places are now xraying luggage, and I didn't want them finding a gun and then rifling (har har) through it. I will call and see.imported_Mike

Oct 10, 1999 28,558 3 81 Not sure if it is the same with a Paintball Gun, but when I fly with my handgun it has to be in a hard, lockable case. You can't just but it in your baggage and you have to declare it as well when you check-in. RRaDragon

May 23, 2000 4,123 1 71 Pack it in your luggage and check-it-in. You should be ok. Just make sure that you don't pack a full/loaded CO2 tank or HPA tank (e.g., make sure it's empty) >.<LtPage1

Aug 21, 2003 53,212 47,476 136 I'd go with UPS. I'm assuming this is from Canada to the US. Since it crosses the international border there are more rules as to what can be imported, but I don't think paintball guns are restricted in any way. The case is different for firearms importation to the US from other countries as there are forms to be filled out to get approval that usually take many months to get back, approved or not. There are also import bans on certain firearms for a variety of reasons. HHyTekJosh

Jan 20, 2001 1,500 0 0 You should be able to check the paintball gun. Just be careful with the CO2 as mentioned. If you are worried, ship it via UPS or FedEx. VViper GTS

Oct 13, 1999 38,107 433 136 For regular firearms in the US: The gun has to be at least partially disassembled, locked in its own case. The bag it's in also has to be locked. Ammo can be taken, but has to be locked in its own separate box. Obviously you have to declare all of it. If they decide they want to open your bag they will page you to come unlock it for them, if you miss that they'll take your bag off the plane. Since you're dealing with a foreign country & it's just a paintball gun I'd just ship the damn thing FedEX. I doubt they'll have issue with it, assuming the C02 tank is depressurized. Viper GTS MMill

I had to show it was unloaded, and I kept the mag next to the gun unloaded as well. Other than that it was in completely read state.
