OK... Well I went to USPS to ship out my droid to Macdev to get fixed and they said I can't ship out my paintball gun. Anyone else having this problem? Did I screw up and should have referred to it as a paintball marker instead? When they ask whats in my package, should I just say its stuffed fluffy pink rabbits? They lady at the desk tells me that anything resembling a gun cannot be shipped, not even a BB gun. That only those with a license can ship it out. I asked her if this is a new policy that was just enacted and she says its been around for a long time. Which has got to be complete bull**** since I shipped my droid from NY to my Dad's house where I'm currently at(TX) about a month ago. I tried calling the 1-800-ask-usps number and the lady couldn't answer whether or not I it's possible to ship out a paintball gun. She just referred me to a local number I have to call between 9am-5pm. Any info/suggestions would be excellent. End of rant. __________________ UTSA Paintball ClubUniversity of Texas at San Antonio President Emeritus "Old Guy" 2012-2014

How do you think we trade guns from place to place? You don't need that much insurance if the gun is nicely wrapped and very secure. The lady I usually go to at the post office always knows I'm shipping something paintball related because I'm always coincidentally get to her stand every time. And plus her son used to play paintball and she's cool about it. __________________ Avalanche NB Support Feed|back Lion Status Last edited by YUMMY_YUM : 03-03-2009 at 08:15 PM.

I supposed to could just go without insuring it. I'm a bit paranoid traveling with paintball stuff, since I have already have had three guns get stolen while flying. __________________ UTSA Paintball ClubUniversity of Texas at San Antonio President Emeritus "Old Guy" 2012-2014

I don't blame ya. Why not just go to another post office? I know that's what I'd do.

The types of "guns" that cannot be shipping are Firearms. Paintball guns, even though they are referred to as "guns" are not classified as a firearm. Therefor that shipping regulation does not apply. Side Note: I know NJ is a state that you cannot ship firearms into. I have been in the PO and the guy wrapped my paintball gun for me while I filled out the paperwork. Whoever told you that you couldn't ship it was either paranoid or an idiot. Just go back, and have everything pre-packaged and when they ask if hazardous, perishable, ect, just say "no" like Dr.StraightPride said. __________________ Rockin Out With My Cocker Out!! tchilds3404 Join Date: Feb 2009 Feedback: 0/0/0 go to fedex, different usps, or UPS and ship it... I work at UPS and people ship paintball markers all the time. We just don't allow compressed air tanks because they can explode under the right conditions and cause planes to crash, no joke. My boss lost her son to a guy that mislabeled a package that ended up catching fire and bringing his jet down over the Atlantic. No harm in shipping JUST the pball marker though. Fyi, always call it a marker. Last edited by tchilds3404 : 03-04-2009 at 12:14 PM.
