How To Ship A Paintball Gun

Paintball guns or markers are not classified as firearms and can be easily shipped without any problems in the post office or in any carrier as long as you have it packed properly. To be safe, avoid placing labels with the word “gun” on the package to avoid any issues. If any of the post office or carrier personnel should ask you what’s inside the package, refer to it as a “marker” or “paint equipment” to avoid any confusion.

Here are some tips on how to pack and ship a paintball gun properly to ensure its safe arrival and prevent any other issues.

The best way to ship a paintball gun is in its original packaging then double boxed with sufficient packing materials to avoid shifting. If the original box is no longer available, simply remove the barrel from the body and wrap each part separately with the bubble.

Place the wrapped parts in a sturdy shipping box. Keep the items in the center of the box and prevent them from banging into each other by filling the sides, bottom and top of the box with plenty of packing materials such as crumpled paper, packing peanuts or bubble wrap.

Wrap spare parts individually in newspaper or bubble wrap and place in a Ziploc bag. Insert the bag inside the box before filing it with packaging materials. The box should be well packed such that there is no chance for the contents to move around during transit.

Close the package and seal securely with packaging tape. Address and attach appropriate labels.

If shipping a compressed air or co2 tank along with the marker, make sure to empty out the tank and wrap in bubble wrap before placing inside the box. It is illegal to ship filled pressurized containers as they are considered safety hazards.
