More About This Recipe
What’s a party without Brie cheese? Especially popular during the holidays, baked Brie is a classic appetizer that guests go wild for, thanks to its creamy texture and pretty presentation. Brie gets its name from the Brie region of France where it’s said to have originated. When you purchase Brie at the store, you’ll purchase it in a large round. You’ll notice that is covered in a rind—though many people think otherwise, the rind on Brie cheese is actually edible, so there’s no need to remove it before baking (this makes prep work easier on you too!). You’re not likely to have any leftovers of this recipe, and that’s ideal—Brie is best served right away. You can store leftovers in the refrigerator, but make sure the cheese is tightly wrapped and in an airtight container and consumed within a day or two. Brie cheese can spoil quickly if not stored correctly! Need more ideas for the appetizer platter? We have every recipe you need in our big appetizer collection, from classic spinach and artichoke dip to slow-cooker meatballs and more!

Ingredients
1 can (8 oz) refrigerated Pillsbury™ Original Crescent Dough Sheet
1/2 cup raspberry or strawberry preserves
1/3 cup sliced almonds, toasted
1 round (12 to 13 oz) Brie cheese
2 cinnamon sticks (3 inch)
Assorted crackers, baguette slices, or apple slices, as desired
Make With Pillsbury Crescents
Instructions
Step 1 Heat oven to 375°F. Unroll dough and roll into 12x8-inch rectangle. Trim dough to 10x8- inch rectangle; reserve dough scraps. Spread 1/4 cup of the preserves in 6-inch circle on center of dough rectangle; sprinkle with almonds. Place cheese on center of dough; spread with remaining 1/4 cup preserves. Press dough evenly around cheese and press to seal completely.
Step 2 Turn pastry-wrapped cheese upside down onto ungreased cookie sheet. Brush top of pastry with water. With small owl-shaped cookie cutter, cut shape from dough scraps. Arrange cutout on top of pastry. Add cinnamon sticks for branches.
Step 3 Bake 20 to 25 minutes or until golden brown. Cool 15 minutes. Serve warm with crackers. Store any remaining Brie in refrigerator.
