I'm also pretty sure that blocking is actually less effective than guard points, so there are some cases where a block would have you stuck in a recoil animation, while a guard point would be able to chain into an SAED. #1 V View Profile View Posts 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:26pm Guard points are regular guard but with artificial Guard 2 built in. You know get the idea of how good it is.You also dont need to guard point every attack to counter with a super/ultra, but not all attacks are forgiving enough not to knock you back hard #2 ZEXTION [TH] View Profile View Posts 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:38pm +guard roar #3 Aims View Profile View Posts 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:39pm can also stun #4 Lack of Stuff View Profile View Posts 6 Jan, 2019 @ 12:34am Guard pointing doesn't ruin your sharpness like regular shield block. #5 V View Profile View Posts 6 Jan, 2019 @ 12:38am

If the attack has a noticeable knockback, it will reduce sharpness #6 (ノ°□°)ノ View Profile View Posts 6 Jan, 2019 @ 12:47am You can chain a guard point into your attacks, while guarding nomally requires you to not be attacking. It has a higher guard level too as others have mentioned. #7 Penetrator View Profile View Posts 6 Jan, 2019 @ 12:59am Guard point can ignore many attack animations which prevent you from regular guarding. Its kinda like the Lance counter. Also you can guardpoint while your weapon is sheathe by timing your transform button.Learning how to guardpoint is gamechanging. #8 Sindral View Profile View Posts 6 Jan, 2019 @ 1:28am Stopping a Nergs divebomb with a guardpoint and knocking him over is probably the most satisfying thing I have ever done in MHW.... So guard points are sick, just saying. #9 < > Showing 1-9 of 9 comments Per page: 1530 50 Monster Hunter: World > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 5 Jan, 2019 @ 11:05pmPosts: 9 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
