Ingredients

Dough

  • 3 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 1/4 teaspoons active dry yeast
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 tablespoon granulated sugar
  • 1 cup warm water
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 teaspoons ground cinnamon

Dipping Sauce

  • 2 cups confectioner's sugar
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Steps

  1. Combine the flour, salt, sugar and yeast in a large bowl. Add the vegetable oil and warm water and mix well. Roll the dough out on a floured surface to a 13x6-inch rectangle. Place on a baking sheet lined with foil. Brush the melted butter over the entire surface. In a small bowl, combine the sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle half of the mixture on top of the dough.
  2. Bake at 375°F for 10–12 minutes, or until browned. Then sprinkle the remaining sugar mixture on top. Slice the dough into strips and set aside.
