Basic demo recording

To record a demo, type record <name> on the console.Use stop to finish recording a demo.The demo file will be saved in the game root folder as <name>.dem.

Automatic demo recording

To use automatic demo recording, set the value of ds_enable to one of the options show below.0 – Manual (No Automatic Recording), 1 – Auto-record competitive matches, 2 – Auto-record all matches, 3 – Auto-record tournament (mp_tournament) matches.

The commands ds_record and ds_stop can be used to manually record via the demo support.The demo files are saved in a folder. Use the convar ds_dir <folder name> to set the folder’s name.

You can add a prefix to the recording files. Use ds_prefix <prefix>.

Events

The event system is a feature that will automatically mark an event on your demo when you kill an X amount of players in S time.To set the minimum amount of players and time, use ds_min_streak and ds_kill_delay.

Setting ds_log 1 will write the events to a text file. (Recommended).

You can also manually mark an event using the ds_mark <comment>command.

Setting ds_autodelete 1 will automatically delete all demos without events.
