Step 1 iBooks makes text searching particularly easy. Simply select the magnifying glass icon in the upper right-hand corner of your screen, type in the text your are looking for, and tap “Search.” Step 2 If you are using Safari, searching for text is also remarkably easy. Simply navigate to the page where you want to search for a specific word or phrase, then tap the navigation bar on top of the page and enter the text you want to find like you are going to do an internet search. Scroll to the very bottom of the suggested search results until you see an “On This Page” option. Select this search, and you will be able to scroll through the page’s different instances of your search term. Recap There are, of course, other apps and programs on your iPad where you might want to search for specific text. However, since iBooks and Safari are probably the two most reading-focused apps on your tablet, knowing how to find specific words or phrases in each will likely prove helpful.
