Steps to Unlock the Bomb Upgrade

The Bomb can be located in the north area of the map, near the Dairon Generator.

1	Exit the Dairon Generator.After activating the Dairon Generator, proceed to the next room where you will encounter a stronger variant of the Autclast. You will also find a Total Recharge Station here.
2	Open the Missile Door.After fighting through the enemies, climb up to reach a Missile Door. Open it up and move to the next room.
3	Obtain the upgrade.Destroy the item sphere and grab the upgrade.

How to Get the Bomb Upgrade Early

You can get the Bomb Upgrade without getting the Diffusion Beam first. The steps below allow you to obtain Bombs before the Kraid boss fight.

1	Head to this location on the map.The ledge you are looking for will have a magnetic ceiling.
2	Do a slide jump into a wall jump.This movement will create a lot of noise. Be careful of the EMMI. If you see it approaching, use your Phantom Cloak.
3	Turn on the Dairon Generator.Quickly reach the exit door on the left or else you will have to do the slide jump process all over again.
4	Obtain the upgrade.Once you've taken the upgrade, destroy the Bomb Block on the ground inside the room.

How to Use the Bomb

Press Y while in Morph Ball Form

While in Morph Ball form, press the button to set a bomb.

Morph Ball Jump

To make Samus jump while in her Morph Ball form, you can lay down a bomb in the same position as Samus. When the bomb goes off, it will launch Samus in the air. This trick can also be used in mid-air to launch Samus higher.

Destroy Obstacles in Tight Spaces

Bombs can also be used to destroy obstacles while inside tight spaces. Unlike the Cross Bomb, a regular Bomb can only destroy obstacles in its immediate vicinity.

Ride the Morph Ball Launcher

Morph Ball Launchers are scattered all over planet ZDR and can be use to travel to different areas. To utilize these launchers, Samus must activate them using the Bomb upgrade.

Where to Go After Bomb

After you get the Bomb upgrade you can go through Morph Ball Launchers that lead to the elevator to Burenia. Once there, continue to the room that contains Flash Shift.
