How to use the Grappling Hook in Ark Survival Evolved.

The Grappling Hook is a great addition to Ark Survival Evolved, but the controls are far from obvious at first. Grappling hooks can only be fired from a crossbow. They are crafted in the smith with (1) cementing paste, (3) stone arrows, (9) metal ingots, (2) thatch, (35) fiber. You need to be level 47 to unlock the engram. The grappling hook does not work on the terrain in Aberration.

Shoot

- PC left mouse button

- Xbox /PS right trigger

Climb

- PC left mouse button

-Xbox/PS right trigger

Descend

- PC right mouse button

- Xbox/PS

Detach (crouch)

- PC C key

- Xbox/PS press right stick

When you are climbing up the hook and get near the end hit the jump key/button. That will give you a little boost and detach you from the grappling hook's cable.
