Who's the one who stabs you in the back?It would make sense if it were Owl, but the sword is different, right? Who else works with Owl against Kuro Sama who would stab you in the back? < > Showing 1-13 of 13 comments wilco64256 View Profile View Posts 20 Jun, 2019 @ 8:04pm Owl outright tells Sekiro it was him late in the game. #1 Chrysalis View Profile View Posts 20 Jun, 2019 @ 8:27pm It was Sekiros father, the great Shinobi Owl, who stabbed him in the back and the sword is the same as the one he uses in the fight against Sekiro on top of Ashina Castle. the swords don't look anything alike though. The one that stabbed him was a straight edge. Owl's has a CURVED katana

You think he's compensating for something? Last edited by Knightmage Bael; 21 Jun, 2019 @ 12:48am #5 Artek [General] View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 2:24am

This one bothers me. If its implied to be him then why the hell the sword is different? The size is a giveaway, but Owl is using a Murakumo-like sword, while the one in a cutscene is surprisingly straight. #6 OCTDUMPUS View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 3:53am

Owl is a pretty cunning guy, he could have used another person's blade to cover his tracks #7 Chrysalis View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 3:55am I don't get why everyong thinks the sword is straight. It is slightly curved like every other Katana, it only seems less curved because of the blade length.I also don't see that big of a difference between the sword he uses in Hirata Estate and the one in the battle against Owl.https://imgur.com/5DjjYDjhttps://imgur.com/LffbEa9 Last edited by Chrysalis; 21 Jun, 2019 @ 3:55am #8 alicerinz View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 4:02am The sword thing is unimportant. He makes it obvious that he killed you during the second memory you get from owl's bell charm. #9 Knightmage Bael View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 10:58am

You mean when you go BACK to Hirata estate and fight him in the same room as Lady Butterfly?I actually haven't managed to unlock that yet, but I've heard about it. I should probably start using the wiki - but I don't wanna give away stuff I haven't discovered yet. XD #10 Chrysalis View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 11:39am

Yes, this all happens after the endboss in the memory that can be unlocked with the second bell charm you get. #11 Rocket Witch View Profile View Posts 21 Jun, 2019 @ 11:47am

It could just be an oversight. Like it may have been in an earlier version of the story that they had a Lone Shadow stab Ookami instead, and later changed everything else but forgot about that.IMO a lot less of the small details in Fromsoft games are as deliberate as people think. Still, it could be deliberate and yet something as straightforward as "a straighter sword looked better in the shot we wanted to frame". #12 Knightmage Bael View Profile View Posts 22 Jun, 2019 @ 12:35am

Yeah, well as you said, quite a lot of the smaller details in FromSoft games are intentional. #13 < > Showing 1-13 of 13 comments Per page: 1530 50 Sekiro™: Shadows Die Twice > General Discussions > Topic Details Date Posted: 20 Jun, 2019 @ 7:54pmPosts: 13 Discussions Rules and Guidelines Close
