The Kiss Quotient by Helen Hoang (narrated by Carly Robins) is a pretty steamy read about an autistic girl who’s looking to improve her skills in the bedroom. I didn’t know too much about the book before agreeing to a buddy read with a few Bookstagram friends, and boy was it racier than I was expecting! It certainly made for a hilarious discussion within our group, as we tried to work out exactly what ‘porn star nipples’ actually were, and all agreed that we’d rather the author called her lady parts anything other than ‘her sex’.

I found the story to be really sweet though, and I liked the male lead immensely. He was supportive, empowering, and kind.

I listened to the audiobook and it was wonderfully narrated, which made me enjoy the book even more! In fact, I enjoyed it so much that I’ve already got myself a copy of the second book in the series The Bride Test. We’ll see if this one has me arriving to work blushing after listening to it on my commute!

Synopsis:
