Jamie Mc Vehicle: 2003 Vauxhall Vivaro 1.9 Diesel Question: Is there a way of enabling OpCom to read a U3FFF code? Background: The Engine Management Light was illuminated on my dashboard. It had been intermittently on and off over the past 12 months. Replaced the diesel filter twice, which cleared the light. More recently, it would go into limp home mode, but then after standing for a while, the problem would resolve itself. However, last month, the light illuminated and stayed so I purchased an OpCom unit from Opel/Vauxhall/Saab Op-com Diagnostic Solutions to assist in diagnosing the faults. Had a P1635 – Glow Circuit – Resolved by changing the 70amp fuse, which had blown. Also, checked all glow plugs were good, as well as the cabling to them from the glow plug relay. Had a P0105 – Boost Pressure Sensor Circuit – Resolved by changing the boost solenoid and the boost pressure sensor. Whilst waiting for parts to arrive, I also: Checked the waste gate on the turbo operated under vacuum pressure Checked for continuity on all wiring between - The ecu boost pressure sensor and solenoid - The ecu and the glow plug relay Cleaned the EGR valve Cleaned the ‘big blue plug’ Cleaned the fuel filter housing, though didn’t replace the fuel filter, as this had been done recently (will monitor for leaks as old seal was used). The problem I have now is that, with the new, Bosch pressure sensor installed, the P0105 code has gone, but is replaced by code U3FFF showing as ‘present’, with U3F00 underneath with neither ‘present’ or ‘not present’ next to it. The van is running well and the turbo spools up quickly, delivering lots of power. The light is bugging me though. Any ideas on what I should try next? Thank you in advance. Located in North Wales, if it’s any use. #3 · Jun 18, 2020 Signal lower than expected. U3FFF - This fault code can be ignored Apparently it is a common fault on Citroen (where I copied this from) Also the coverage of opcom/vauxcom on the vivaro is spotty at best because the vivaro is in fact a Renault Traffic. Maybe a Renault clip diagnostic would be better? #4 · Jun 18, 2020

Thanks for getting back to me. So, from your reply, essentially, just ignore the fault light so long as the van is running well and get on with it! I did wonder whether that would be the long-term solution! It's an old van with high-ish mileage at 165k, so I'm not looking to pour a fortune in to it. Thanks for your help.
