Possible cause: Sonar control unit Fail-safe: BCI is canceled. If the rear sonar sensors are all good then the likely suspect is the sonar control unit which is located here (# 21): 94874 C1A04 - Malfunction has occurred in the VDC/TCS/ABS system. Possible cause: ABS actuator and electric control unit. Fail-safe: The following systems are canceled: ICC, DCA, FEB, PFCW, LDP, BSW, BCI and ASCD. Most likely suspect is the ABS Actuator and Electric Control Unit. If not that, then the ADAS control unit. 94876 ABS Actuator and Electric Control Unit (#10) located in the engine compartment. 94875 ADAS Control Unit (#1) located on trunk shelf. C1A13 - Stop lamp inactive state continues for 0.3 sec or more despite the outputting of an ICC sensor ICC brake hold relay drive signal. Or the stop lamp remains ON for 60 sec or more under the following conditions: Driving at 25 mph or more. No stop lamp drive signal output from ADAS control unit. No brake operation. Possible cause: Stop lamp switch circuit Brake pedal position switch circuit ICC brake hold relay circuit Stop lamp switch Brake pedal position switch ICC brake hold relay Incorrect stop lamp switch installation Incorrect brake pedal position switch installation ECM ABS actuator and electric control unit Fail-safe: The following systems are canceled: ICC, DCA, FEB, PFCW, BCI If it were me, I'd spend the money to have your problems diagnosed with a CONSULT by a service tech. It would be very expensive to start replacing control modules or switches without knowing if they are the cause or not. M

I wish I had seen that before I posted all that other info. I agree with the previous post. You should be covered by warranty unless the car is salvage. It may not be a failed part but rather a short/continuity problem in the wiring harness or connectors.

So all of a sudden now i am getting this malfunction warning for the front sonar\collision prevention this warning only comes when car is on cruise and detects a car in front stopping and tries to brake for the first time because of a car in front, that's when this warning pops up and cruise control disengages. this is happening again and again. Does someone have any clue whats going on or what I should be be looking at? Click to expand...
My car brakes when no objects are around. This is a safety issue. Report this to the NHTSA. It could be a defective module or needs recalibrated. I cant get answers from dealerships as tgey claim i got into a collision lol. This manufacturer screws people to prevent recalls. Look at my otger posts and you might find these other issues on your car. Im filing breach of warranty lawsuit on the manufacturer. M

Car had an accident. Driver ran it to road barrier/side rail. The rapair was done at the dealership. Dealership since has voided the warranty hence they will not fix or troubleshoot the problem i am having. As far as the problem, I think I will end up paying the dealership to diagnose the problem however, i am afraid that they will diagnose it wrong. I have checked the ADAS module by swapping with another one with same part number (by the help of a friend) and the problem still exist so at least I now knownita not the expense ADAS module that is causing the problem.

I purchased a Q50 with both of those warnings. Not sure if it has something to do with the accelerator pedal sensor. Info below. www.infinitiq50.org

Avedis53 said: I'm not a fan of throwing parts at a car without diagnostics, especially expensive control modules. Without a CONSULT scan tool, it's a guessing game for the most part. You might try this since it doesn't cost anything. The ADAS control unit has an on-board self-diagnosis function that you can engage to see what it might have in the way of DTCs. Start condition of on-board self-diagnosis: Make sure these two systems are turned off. ICC system - OFF DCA system - OFF Vehicle speed - 0 mph 1. Turn the ignition switch off. 2. Now start the engine. 3. Wait 5 seconds after starting the engine. Push the RESUME/ACCELERATE switch UP 5 times and then push the SET/COAST switch DOWN 5 times. Do this operation within 10 seconds. 4. Look at the set vehicle speed indicator on the ICC system display shown on the information display. View attachment 94830 If you see the number "55" flashing as shown above (1), then no DTC was detected. If you see another DTC number and an icon flashing like the second example, then post up a picture of that display. It will display the DTCs for up to 5 minutes and then stop. If multiple malfunctions exist, up to 6 DTCs can be stored in memory at the most and the most recent is displayed first. Click to expand...
Do you have the list of DTC numbers? I will diagnose tomorrow. Thanks! M

Thanks, will let you know tomorrow. Otherwise your car drives fine? If you turn off driver assist, do those warnings pop up?

Read the story here! In the end it was the (due to loose axle) misaligned speed sensor causing the problems... M
