robbyy R Hello all im new to this site and am hoping someone can help me have been having a bit of a clean out in the shed and have come across this manifold its a 4 barrel with ford casted at the front of it with a part number of C90X9424B if anyone can give me any info about it and what it would be good for i would really apreciate it cheers #1 · Jul 24, 2008 Hello all im new to this site and am hoping someone can help me have been having a bit of a clean out in the shed and have come across this manifold its a 4 barrel with ford casted at the front of it with a part number of C90X9424B if anyone can give me any info about it and what it would be good for i would really apreciate it cheers Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Aug 15, 2008 if you do a google search for " ford part decoder" you find tons of websites that show you have to decode almost any part. one that i use often and find very helpful is "http://www.broncodata.com/reference/partnumber.htm" according to it and your part number of C90X-9424-B C - refers to the decade c = 60's so C9 = 69 O - indicates the model line so O = Torino {really O could mean Fairlane (62-68) or Torino (69-76)} X - can refer to the part section, such as engine, chassis, or body. or it could represent its a service replacement part. in this case X = Original Ford racing program / Muscle Parts 9424 - Is the part number. 9421-9499 being mainly manifold and clamps. therefor your part really is a manifold. lol. B - refers to the revision of the product. it goes A to Z, then AA, BB, CC - ZZ i think. either way B - refers to be only the second revision. So in short your manifold is from a 1969 Torino, and was in the original ford racing program or was a muscle part, and was the second revision of that particular manifold. If I remember correctly, I think the Torinos had the option of both the 302 and 351 Windsor engines, so sorry i couldn't help tell you which it was off of. maybe I'm wrong and someone else knows for sure which one it is. #3 · Aug 21, 2008 that number comes up with a couple others as the Muscle Parts / Shelby HiRise intake, it is a near equal of today's Performer RPM but a bit less torquey.
