Krazy Canuk K I have a ford aluminum intake C90X-9424B. It is from the ford performance program from that period. I have been looking about to try to find another one of these with little luck. I have seen one that was apparently a Buddy Bar casting which has "Shelby" cast into it. Does anyone know if ford used parts cast by Buddy Bar for their high performance engines back then. Perhaps a GT 350 shelby? Or does anyone know where another one may be located? #1 · Apr 1, 2008 (Edited) I have a ford aluminum intake C90X-9424B. Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Apr 1, 2008 Sure, The Buddy Bar logo was cast into a number of early Shelby parts - intakes, valve covers, etc. As I recall (which means "investigate & confirm"), the early parts for the Cobras & Shelbys had the COBRA name cast on them. Later, intakes cast w/SHELBY or FORD were introduced as over-the-counter parts you could purchase at your local Ford dealer. In the 80s & 90s, the easy way to distinguish original parts from the up-&-coming field of repros was the Buddy Bar logo on the underside. Nowadays, be prepared to open your wallet when shopping for original parts. The big boys are paying top dollar for them for their restorations. Best, Matt #3 · Jun 15, 2011 I have one of these manifolds with the Budddy bar logo on the underside, What is the value of the manifold in very good condition?. It was sitting in a garage shelf for approx 30 years. Joe #4 · Jun 15, 2011 I have a C9OX also. I've seen people ask anywhere from $200-$400 depending on how nice the intake is and how bad they want to move it. Mine is not perfect but no damage, I'd most likely part with it. HTH Tony #5 · Jun 15, 2011 I have never heard of the Buddy Bar name. Can anyone post a photo of the logo so that I will know what to look for ??? #7 · Jun 15, 2011

Buddy Bar is the name of the foundry company made famous for casting the high performance aluminum intake manifolds, valve covers and other parts for Shelby and Ford in their early performance heyday. They are still around and continue to cast all sorts of sophisticated, modern castings as well as their share of repro parts: Buddy Bar Aluminum Casting Foundry Here is a pic of their casting mark on the underside of a late sixties Shelby intake: Image Sean 0 Reply #6 · Jun 15, 2011 I bought 10 intakes and oil pans from a ford dealership that was going out of business in the 70s nope of the part where ever put on cars they where still in boxes I use one part on every build sorta unique---dave #8 · Jun 15, 2011 Thanks.
