The intake that you have is a vintage Shelby part and may be quite valuable to those looking for original Shelby parts, so keep this in mind. I wouldn't do any modifications to it or it's value may be diminished. It specs out as a 1969 intake to fit all 289 and 302 engines with the standard (Non-Boss) type cylinder heads. The intake's port size is listed as being 1.82" x .90" and the nomenclature states "Shelby High Rise Fits All Stock Heads". A nice intake to have and it is quite rare. I'd guess it's value would be around $2000 US if one could be found at a swap meet. This is only a guess, but any vintage Shelby parts in good condition demand top dollar here in the States. All of the bestVeronica

The reference book "High Performance Ford Engine Parts Interchange" by George Reid states that the intake in question, C9OX-9424-B, is and I quote, "Shelby High Rise". This aluminum intake is for a 302 engine. I know that Ford had taken over the Shelby builds and in 69 it was built "In house" at Ford. So, if this isn't a Shelby only part, on what other models of Mustang was this aluminum High-Rise used on? You say cast iron and a Ford knock-off, I'm confused. If it's not a 69 Shelby intake, what is it?Veronica

It looks good, runs great, and doesn't say "Cobra" or "Shelby" on it. Small point that matters to no one except me, but since I don't own a Cobra or a Shelby, I personally didn't want those. When I saw a factory period correct piece with the "Ford" lettering I decided that was better option than Edelbrock as well. I bought it NOS years ago off e-bay, I think. I was wondering if you have any interest in getting rid of yours or could point me in the right direction to find one that is in good shape and hasn't been heavily ported? My current project is a 65 GT for my wife and I'd love to have a matching set. 1 - 12 of 12 Posts Insert Quotes Post Reply- ?
