We specialize in creating connections that promote excellence in board and leadership development and talent selection; combining resources for more buying power when purchasing insurance and other products and services; and fulfilling core operational functions such as credit reviews, claims administration and risk management.

Our largest client segment is the Farm Credit System—the 10th largest financial institution in the United States that provides loans to vital industries throughout rural America. Our second largest client segment is agribusiness cooperatives. We also provide claims administration and risk management services to public entities and municipalities. And our Gettysburg Leadership Experience offering attracts diverse customers, including the United States Air Force and the diplomatic core from an emerging Middle Eastern country.

We are in the process of rebranding our company—both internally and externally—and are looking for a leader to help enhance our organizational effectiveness offerings to better meet the needs of our clients.

Job Overview

FCC Services is currently searching for a Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness. This person will lead a high-level and rapidly developing consulting practice. He/she will report to the CEO and serve as a member of the Executive Leadership team.

 

The Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness is responsible for driving excellence in the following areas:

  • Leadership development at the board of director, executive, middle manager, and first line leader levels
  • Conferences and site-based courses
  • Organization structure and design
  • Performance management
  • Assessments and feedback
  • Change management
  • Team effectiveness
  • Employee engagement
  • Succession planning
  • Recruiting and selection

 

The Senior Vice President of Organizational Effectiveness will have P&L responsibility for the Organizational Effectiveness consulting practices, as well as several large annual conferences and The Gettysburg Leadership Experience (www.gettysburgleadershipexperience.com).

Job Responsibilities

Organizational Effectiveness

  • Lead the Organizational Effectiveness team of 27, including consultants and support staff, in designing programs, classes and other consulting engagements that meet the needs of core client segments.
  • Facilitate use of latest tools, technology and techniques in support of clients’ business needs.
  • Responsible for effective planning, timely delivery, efficient project management, accurate results, and overall client satisfaction throughout the organizational effectiveness practice.
  • Coach team on how to utilize strong organizational effectiveness processes to assess, diagnose, design and deliver inventive solutions needed to optimize and enhance organizational effectiveness.
  • Identify, track and analyze metrics to measure organizational effectiveness solutions.
  • Draw on comprehensive technical knowledge and excellent consulting skills to advise internal/external customers in organizational effectiveness areas.

 

Business Development

  • Sell and deliver consulting services to clients related to organizational effectiveness.
  • Maintain awareness of relevant competitor offerings including pricing strategies and product features.
  • Build relationships with largest clients using a consultative approach, listening carefully to client needs and strengthening programs to meet those needs.

 

Team Development

  • Mentor and coach Organizational Effectiveness team.
  • Establish an organizational effectiveness vision and strategy.
  • Provide others with appropriate feedback, share expertise and improve the overall efficiency of the team.

Reporting Relationship

Reports to the CEO and is a member of the Executive Leadership team.

Qualifications

Ideal Qualifications

  • Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Organizational Development or Organizational Effectiveness; PhD highly desired.
  • 10 to 15 years of organizational effectiveness consulting experience required; ideally in both consulting firm and corporate environments.
  • Ability to develop and implement relevant strategic objectives to attain organizational objectives.
  • High energy and resourceful leader with the capability to quickly take control of responsibilities and establish himself/herself as a credible strategic business partner.
  • Deep understanding of the all aspects of the organizational effectiveness and leadership development landscapes.
  • Executive presence with the ability to effectively influence and drive change across all levels of a client organization.
  • Outstanding leadership and communication skills with ability to present views in a clear and compelling manner and develop trust and influence as a senior thought leader with a broad relationship base.
  • Demonstrable track record of achievement in designing and implementing organizational development and talent management initiatives in a corporate environment and consulting environment.
  • Extreme comfort interacting with and influencing senior level HR and business executives.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Strong entrepreneurial spirit.
  • Superb business acumen.
  • Proficient with Microsoft office suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
  • Exceptional customer focus.
  • Ability and willingness to travel 40% of the time.
