Add your Outlook.com account to another mail app
This article describes how to add your Outlook.com account to an iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch, an Android device, or a Windows phone. If you want to add your Outlook.com account to a different device or app, you'll need the POP, IMAP, and SMTP settings for Outlook.com.
iPhone, iPad, or iPod Touch
On iOS devices, you can download Outlook for iOS to access your email, calendar, and contacts. If you don't want to use this app, you can still add your email to the default iOS mail app.
Outlook for iOS

Open the Microsoft Outlook app and tap Inbox at the top of the app.
Note: If this is your first time using the app, select Get Started.

Select Settings
> Accounts > Add Account > Email Account.

Enter your email address and select Add Account.

Enter your password and select Sign in.

If you've enabled two-step verification for your account, approve the sign-in request.

Answer Yes to the question Let this app access your info? You can change these permissions at any time in your account settings.
Note: If you select No, the Microsoft Outlook app won't be able to set up your account.

If you don't need to add another account, select Maybe Later to access your account.
Note: You can't edit your contacts within this app.
iOS Mail app

Select Settings > Apps > Mail > Mail Accounts > Add Account.

Select Outlook.com.

Enter your email address and your password and select Sign in.

If you've enabled two-step verification for your account, approve the sign-in request.

Answer Yes to the question Let this app access your info? You can change these permissions at any time in your account settings.
Note: If you select No, the Microsoft Outlook app won't be able to set up your account.

By default, Mail, Contacts, Calendars, and Reminders are all enabled. If you want to turn any of those types of information off, tap the sliders, and then select Save.
Android phones
On Android devices, you can download the Microsoft Outlook app to access your email, calendar, and contacts. If you don't want to use this app, you can still add your email to the default Android mail app.
Outlook for Android

Open the Microsoft Outlook app and select Settings
> Accounts > Add Account > Add an email account.
Note: If this is your first time using the app, select Get Started.

Enter your email address and select the Continue check mark.

Enter your password and select Sign in.

If you've enabled two-step verification for your account, approve the sign-in request.

Answer Yes to the question Let this app access your info? You can change these permissions at any time in your account settings.
Note: If you select No, the Microsoft Outlook app won't be able to set up your account.

If you don't need to add another account, select Maybe Later to access your account.
Note: You can't edit your contacts within this app.
Gmail app

Swipe in from the left side of the screen and select Settings > Add account.

Choose Outlook, Hotmail, and Live.

Enter your email address and select Next.

Enter your password and select Sign in.

If you've enabled two-step verification for your account, approve the sign-in request.

Answer Yes to the question Let this app access your info? You can change these permissions at any time in your account settings.
Note: If you choose No, the Microsoft Outlook app won't be able to set up your account.

Choose how often you want the Gmail app to sync with your account and select Next.

Confirm your account name and the name that is displayed on your messages and select Next.
Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac
You can add your Outlook.com account to Outlook for Windows and Outlook for Mac.
Note: You can't edit shared Outlook.com calendars in Outlook for Windows.
