| No previous qualifications are required to be eligible for the City and Guilds 2377-22 PAT Testing course. It is advisable that candidates have some basic PAT Testing knowledge and any previous electrical training would be advantageous. We suggest the following timescales as a guide: |
- 1 Day Course - is suitable for people with a good electrical / testing backround
- 2 Day Course - is suitable for people with basic electrical / testing knowledge
- 3 Day Course - is suitable for people with very little electrical experience.
Candidates will require a current copy of the IEE Code of Practice for In-service Inspection and Testing 4th Edition in order to sit the exam. 
Candidates who successfully complete C&G 2377-22 (PAT Testing) can progress onto more advanced electrical training courses: - C&G 2377-32 The Management of In-service Inspection and Testing of Electrical Equipment (PAT Testing)
- C&G 2382-12 17th Edition Requirements for Electrical Installations (BS 7671: 2008 - amd 2)
- C&G 2394-01 Level 3 Certificate in Fundamental Inspection, Testing and Initial Verification
- C&G 2395-01 Level 3 Certificate in Inspection, Testing & Certification of Electrical installations
The C&G 2377-22 PAT Testing course will conclude with a 50 question online examination and a practical assessment. This will be an open-book examination, lasting 1.5 hours. Certificates are issued from C&G only after successful completion of the online exam and practical assessment.
