5hch3ng 5 I was wondering if there was any new info about whether or not you can mix G13 with G12++ coolant. I have a 2003 VW Passat 1.8t and it has fallen below the min line -- I don't know what kind of coolant to put in it. The last thing I could find in the forum was a post from 2012 that said VW stopped selling G12. I don't know what the dealership used to put in it because my overflow tank was replaced by a family friend a few months ago and right now the fluid is pink, supposedly G12. It even has a red cap. The G13 stuff has a purple cap, Pentofrost E. #3 · Jun 3, 2016 Use G13. One gallon makes two gallons once you mix it 50/50 with water. It was $24.50 plus tax for the gallon jug. Insert Quotes Post Reply
