G12 vs G13 My coolant is low. The manual states to use G12++ or G13 only. I've got some open G12 that's probably 3yrs old. How do I know if it's G12++ (as opposed to G12) and usable, or should I steer totally clear of it due to age? I may only have the car for another 6mo or so, otherwise I'd just buy a fresh gallon. And, it'd be nice to put it to use instead of it going to waste. Reply Like ahyeah View Public Profile Send a private message to ahyeah Find More Posts by ahyeah

How low? Just put in distilled water and be done with it. A small amount isn't going to dilute the mix enough to get excited. Reply Like gk1 View Public Profile Send a private message to gk1 Find More Posts by gk1

Be sure to buy the pre-mixed coolant which is cheaper than the 100% pure coolant. Pre-mixed coolant is already diluted with distilled water. Keep leftovers in the jug and just store it in a nice place in your garage.
