Dancing On Ice's Matt Responds To Criticism Of H's Latest Skate

Last night's (February 2) Dancing on Ice shocked viewers when Ian 'H from Steps' Watkins and Matt Evers ended up in the skate-off despite others having lower scores.

Thankfully for them, they were saved, but the judges had some criticism over their fairytale-themed performance to Temper Trap's 'Sweet Disposition'.

Responding to the comments about their skating, Matt posted a video to Twitter where he said: "In regards to tonight's performance, H skated brilliantly. Honest to God, his judges' challenge, that spiral... better than mine, so kudos to you, H.

"We tried something new. If you know of Matthew Bourne's Swan Lake, it's a stunning all-male ballet of Swan Lake which is what we were trying to emulate.

"Some of you got it, some of you didn't, and the judges didn't really understand the concept, it may have been too abstract. At the end of the day we went with what we're given.

"Tomorrow is a new week, we're still in the competition and we are very excited about next week's performance, and we will try to keep progressing and make it more universal."
