thegave said: Wow the rear diff and haldex coupling are already discontinued? Click to expand...No. VW's parts website still lists it. https://parts.sheehyspringfieldvw.c..._Golf-R-Base/_53894_6378068/REAR-AXLE-DIFFERENTIAL-PROPELLER-SHAFT/F50B105.html Show more replies 0 Reply #5 · Aug 27, 2018 Most recent ETKA page I can find also still says 055. The third entry under part (1A) : http://www.oemepc.com/vw/part_singl...ear/2013/drive_standart/729/hg_ug/525/subcategory/525010/part_id/3691627/lang/e #6 · Aug 27, 2018 Wow the rear diff and haldex coupling are already discontinued? #9 · Aug 27, 2018 Yes but nowhere does it say G060 supersedes G055 they are clearly listed for different applications. #10 · Aug 28, 2018 It doesn't, but the 060 is the newest and the only available Haldex fluid. 0 Reply #11 · Aug 28, 2018 I just bought 055 a couple weeks ago for my fluid change and showing still as available on vw parts at nearby dealerships. #12 · Aug 28, 2018 Just bought 055 literally last night from audiusaparts. I really doubt 060 superseded the prior technically. Different designs, different oils. Same sort of thing occurs with tranny fluid. You don't put factory spec 8 speed VW/Audi tranny fluid in a 6 speed, don't put either of them in a five speed, and so on. It also does not agree with ETKA parts listings, which is where VW and Audi both direction you for latest spec compliant fluid information. #14 · Aug 28, 2018 Aisin 8-speed uses the same fluid as later 6-speeds. Toyota World Standard, which is a low viscosity fluid for improved fuel economy Sent from my SAMSUNG-SM-G930A using Tapatalk 0 Reply #13 · Aug 28, 2018 Well that being said, the bottle I picked up today was mfd June 2017. I read somewhere while I was trying to figure this out that these things have a shelf-life. USP better make good and ship me a replacement bottle. Also, I asked a "Master VW Parts Consultant" I know on Facebook, and his response was:
I don't think they are the same fluids, the g060 is for newer cars or for the older cars WITH vr6 The g055 seems to be for the older cars with the 4cyl. Idk why it matters for haldex what size engine but that's what I can see in ETKA Click to expand...Insert Quotes Post Reply
