Stiguan4Motion I recently changed my Haldex fluid. Which there was a dilemma. Which fluid? There is G-055 (1L bottle) and G-060 (850 mL), which the G-060 is also more expensive. So I cheaped out and got the G-055 fluid (I've seen many DIY's that use this fluid for Gen4 Haldex). On my to do list is buy a bottle of the G-060 fluid and do a Virgin Oil Analysis on that G-055-175-A2 Virgin Oil Analysis 25988763778_4ac2f40b6d_o.jpg OE at 47K miles. 38963226085_899a47d778_b.jpg #1 · Jan 23, 2018 I recently changed my Haldex fluid. Hello there Marshall007 in Slovakia and welcome to the forum. Why not "Say Hello" in our introductory forum so other members can welcome you aboard? Here is a link to a thread that should help you out including a video in post #5..Haldex G-060 is mentioned in the very first post. http://www.mytiguan.com/index.php?/topic/38361-haldexgearbox-diff-oils-part-numbers-capacity/ Cheers! Old Dog #4 · Jan 24, 2018 I asked the dealer and was told it’s the same. True or not, I do not know, I do know the 1L bottle was listed for the Tiguan in 2010 - 2012ish, then they switched over to the 850mL bottle. I was told that some of the other Haldex equipped vehicles still list the 1L bottle. VW insanity at it’s best. #5 · Jan 24, 2018

It doesn't match the part number convention that VW uses. If it's just a different capacity container, it would still be a G-055-175-XX with the final digits being different. There might be some changes in the additives for G-060 haldex fluid, which is why doing VOA is important to compare. Plus, when I do the UOA on the fluid at about 80,000 miles, I can compare it to the VOA of the G-055 fluid. #8 · Jan 24, 2018 totally agree with you! I always take what the dealer says with a grain of salt. Keep in mind, when I first went into the dealer for a bottle for the fist change, they had no stock. I asked them why not and they were not aware it was a service item. I had to educate them. #9 · Jan 25, 2018 Here are the MSDSs from G55 and G60. Users in Russia write, that G55 has better characteristics and G55 is manafactured by Burmah-Castrol-BP (synthetics oil), G60 by Statoil (apparently semisynthetics oil).
