Precautions

Must be used under medical supervision. For enteral use only. Not suitable for use as a sole source of nutrition. This product should not be used as a sole source of protein but must be given in conjunction with a protein source to supply the methionine, fluid and general nutrition requirements of the patient in quantities as prescribed by a clinician or dietitian. HCU LV contains only trace amounts of sodium, potassium and chloride.

Preparation and directions for usage

The recommended dosage is dependent on the age, bodyweight and medical condition of the patient, and should be determined by a clinician or dietitian only. Water or diluted drinks should be offered/taken at the same time as HCU LV. To ensure tolerance, the powder may initially need to be introduced at a lower concentration. To prepare the powder, pour 65mls of cold water into a container with a screw top lid. Empty the contents of the sachet into the container. Seal and shake well until the powder is dissolved. The powder is best prepared with chilled water and consumed immediately after preparation.

L-arginine L-aspartate, L-leucine, L-lysine acetate, L-glutamine, L-proline, L-valine, glycine, L-isoleucine, L-threonine, calcium phosphate dibasic, L-phenylalanine, L-tyrosine, L-serine, L-alanine, L-histidine, flavouring, sugar, flavour enhancer (E330), L-cystine, L-tryptophan, magnesium acetate, maltodextrin, choline bitartrate, emulsifier (soy lecithin), magnesium L-aspartate, taurine, stabiliser (E412), artificial sweeteners (acesulfame K, sucralose), inositol, L-ascorbic acid, ferrous sulphate, L-carnitine, zinc sulphate, nicotinamide, DL-alpha-tocopheryl acetate, calcium D-pantothenate, manganese sulphate, copper sulphate, pyridoxine hydrochloride, thiamin hydrochloride, riboflavin, colours (E160a(ii), E162), retinyl acetate, folic acid, potassium iodide, sodium molybdate, chromium chloride, sodium selenite, D-biotin, phytomenadione, cholecalciferol, cyanocobalamin. Shelf life

12 months.

Storage

Store in a cool, dry place. Once reconstituted, the prepared drink should be stored in a refrigerator and use within 24 hours.
