In all honestly, the set he bought off eBay is actually from the surface GREAT quality. Spoke with him tonight and he was awestruck as to how much better these were then his stock lights! Took only about an hour to install both sides, 1/3 that time fartsing with a screw we couldnt get to line up on the stock assembly. Anyways I looked at the manual tonight and it says we use H1's on our cars. But in my car I have 9006's...does it matter?! The '96 A6/S6 uses an H1 in the lows though. Also, e-code s4 headlgihts use an H1 in the low and high along with a metal reflector. You can find 9006 ebay hid kits. So to answer your question, it doesn't really matter. Tab has a right-up floating around here for his install, look for that.
