Verified Joined Aug 21, 2015 Messages 22 Reaction score 2 Location Italy VCDS Serial number C?ID=125918 Hello, I'm trying to code a new can gateway that I placed to solve battery drain due to RCD 310 Radio on Golf plus V in replacement of RCD300. What I don't understand is how to obtain the long code starting from the installation list. Just selecting the variuos devices it creates the new code? Now the Can gatewy code is 350000. If I put the code of the old gateway I obtain error 22 'conditions not correct or incorrect sequence error'. I don't have the workshop code but I've put 12345 as suggested in the furum. It sure does, but it lacks some things you might not even need. - Just a pointer for others. Is your VCDS at latest update. I know some CAN GW-s got label file with 15.7.1 update. Including me, when i was working with "BC" GW and 15.7.0 didn't, but 15.7.1 did have a label for it. I thought I'll update it after I'm finished with this GW. Updated sooner then i wanted. This will not change your coding. That's now a separate thing from the GVL. Use a current version of VCDS to set the 3 bytes of Long Coding appropriately for your car. -Uwe- Dec 8, 2015 #12 E

Yes you are true golfi_vend but I noticed now that if I compare the original scan with original gateway and the new scan with new gateway the order of devices is different. The only thing moved is steering angle. This is with all newer cans. On new scan you're missing 7D - Aux heating, do you have it removed or unmarked in install list. In any event, The Installation List followed by Long Coding is all you need to do. As mentioned by golfi_vend, the Battery Manager issue may just be the end result of the incorrect control module. We'd really want to look at the complete scan before repairs with the VIN (so we can check PR codes) to make sure.
