Isabella Morales, Reporter October 30, 2025 David Bell, NC’s newest principal, started to enforce policies that students have enjoyed freedom from for years. As he began to enforce these rules, both students and teachers started to critique these enforcements. Bell began to administer the phone and dress code policy specifically to try and cut down on distractions within the school and classrooms individually.

Memphis Dhirar, Reporter September 15, 2025 Students and teachers alike bought and took home new plant friends throughout the week to celebrate Greenhouse Gang’s annual Mothers Day plant sale. Erinn Gardner, Editor in Chief August 24, 2022 NC made the executive decision to permanently lengthen homeroom on Fridays to allow students mental health breaks and additional time to catch up on school work. Because a handful of students do not ordinarily receive the opportunity to carve out multiple hours of personal time for themselves, this new policy will hopefully serve as the perfect balance of education and free time.

Erinn Gardner, Social Media Editor March 31, 2022 Accepted magnet students from public and private schools across the state attended the Magnet Spring Showcase. Elijah Pacis, Sports Editor March 17, 2022 To sustain focus, a core element in all activities, and to perform a show and maintain that balance of concentration and performance can prove difficult. NC’s winter guard team demonstrated this aspect of winter guard last Saturday, by knowing what they do, and also showing it to the audience. “[I’m] looking forward to more fun experiences and great dancing. There is always a struggle in every problem we face but as a team, we are able to make it through and become very good leaders and companions towards each other,” junior Natalie Romero said.

Nicolas Gomez, Reporter March 14, 2022 The Cobb county music department runs everything music for the county. That would include The Cobb Exhibition, a show for all marching bands invited. On the other hand, the LGPE event evaluates concert bands, to assure that students learn the proper curriculum in the classroom. The content learned there, applied to any musical event the band attends, will further their knowledge on music.

Erinn Gardner, Social Media Manager February 17, 2022 Shop With a Warrior gives students an opportunity to foster the holiday spirit and buy gifts for children in need. While some groups shopped for kids who could not attend the event, students still took time out of their day to buy items for the children. “My group had a special needs kid and it was so sweet seeing him light up at the toys he liked. I love being able to give back to the community and help those in need. I think this event teaches NC students a lot,” senior Kevin Pereira said.
