Director & Chairman of the Foundation Committee, Center for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender, Family, Women & Adolescents

Van Anh founded the Center for Studies and Applied Sciences in Gender, Family, Women and Adolescents (CSAGA), which uses innovative approaches to promotthe implementation of the rights of women and children vulnerable to violence and discrimination in Vietnam.

As a social activist, Van Anh has worked to promote the human rights of women and children and prevent gender-based violence in Vietnam for the last 20 years. She established counseling hotlines for domestic violence, human trafficking, and issues facing lesbians in Vietnam to provide psychological advice for survivors across the country. She has also trained a large number of officers in various gender-based areas and has succeeded in implementing communications, intervention, and policy advocacy projects around these issues.

She was recognized as one of the 21 leaders for the 21st century by Women’s eNews Magazine in 2008 and August State Alumni of the Month by the United States Department of State in 2011.
