Nhã Thuyên’s most recent books in English translation are un\ \martyred: [self-]vanishing presences in Vietnamese poetry (Roof Books, USA, 2019) and moon fevers (Tilted Axis Press, UK, 2019). Her poetry book words breathe, creatures of elsewhere (từ thở, những người lạ) was published in Vietnamese (Nha Nam, 2015) and in English translation by Kaitlin Rees (Vagabond Press, 2016). With Kaitlin Rees, she found AJAR, a micro bilingual literary journal-press, an online, printed space for poetic exchange with a mini poetry gathering in Hanoi. She soliloquies and makes some nonsense when having no other emergencies of life to deal with.

Floriana Puglisi: Essays on Bee, Drucker, Bernstein

Bernstein, "Fontaine" (2000)
Floriana Puglisi’s recent work explores intersections of poetry, technology, and intermediality. In “Poets and Machines / Poets as Machines” (2024), she examines Charles Bernstein and Johanna Drucker’s experiments with digital aesthetics, algorithmic writing, and collaborative practices, highlighting concepts like “algorhythmia” and posthuman poetics. Her essays on Drucker and Susan Bee (Le Simplegadi, 2024) and on Bernstein’s artist-book collaborations (Performare/Trasformare, 2023) investigate hybrid forms that challenge conventional word-image hierarchies. In Performing/Transforming (2021), she analyzes Bernstein’s migration from page to screen and voice, emphasizing process and interactivity. Puglisi, Associate Professor at the University of Catania, specializes in American poetry, visual-textual relations, and experimental poetics.
