neeps N Hi. I have a Golf MK5 1.6 FSi BAG which repeatedly makes the MIL light to go off, and have seen DTC fault codes reporting NOX related messages. A reset was done recently, and I have therefore not recorded the last error codes. However I still suspect that the NOX is the culprit, due to occurring several times prior. Once the MIL light goes off, I experience poor acceleration in general and especially uphills. However, I am still able to drive at motorways and it runs fine once a reset is done for a couple of miles. Is this expected behavior, if dealing with a faulty post cat NOX sensor? Reason I'm wondering, is due to the insane price of 800€ in Norway. I don't want to buy a part that might not be faulty at all, especially not at that price. Customer service for this retailer, mentioned that even if I receive fault codes for the sensor it might not be the culprit. The Oxygen sensor might be the faulty part, I was told or just broken circuits. My NOX sensor haven't been replaced at all, it's part number is: 03C 907 807 A, and product date: 34/03. Been looking at junkyards for the part, but haven't found any yet. :( How can I be certain that the Nox sensor is faulty? and what's the easiest way to troubleshoot it? Thanks in advance for any help. #1 · Jul 27, 2016 (Edited) Hi. VCDS #7 · Aug 2, 2016 Will consider buying one. However, do you think it's likely that the nox sensor control unit may need to be replaced? Heard it's normal to have a problem with it on 1.6 FSi engines. #8 · Jul 23, 2020 Hey Friends, I have a 54 plate A3 1.6 FSI and faced NOx Sensor error issue. I looked for the solution on internet and found an informative blog explaining all the error codes in detail. I would recommend reading it.
