Anonymous Posted on Dec 15, 2010 Answered Hello ! As I bought my VW Golf Mk4 (model 2003) 1.6 FSI 16v few months ago, I have just realised there are some problems that need to be solved. First of all, the engine light came on and after computer check it turned to be NOx sensor fault (error codes 17441 and 17443). Although I would like to get it replaced with a new one, I have no money at the moment and have to delay it for a while. Will I face any additional problems if I keep driving my car ? Besides the NOx sensor fault, it works just fine. However, fuel consumption is a bit higher, around 9l/100 km. A second problem is connected with a bad start in the cold mornings. Once it is started, every next start during a day works just fine. I replaced sparks with original ones, as well as the battery. Do you have any idea what might be wrong ? Thanks for your help in advance.

17443 Nox signal implausible, 17441 Nox sensor Signal too low, check the latest software versionis running on the engine ecu. the Nox sensor is located to the rear of the cat and has a control box bolted to the underside of the floor (o/s seat area) under the black plastic protectorthere is a workshop recall for this fault, Humidity in the Nox sensor Giving an implausible signala new sensor is needed if the production date on its sticker is before week 41/04P/N of new item - 03C907807 Dalso a software update is required if the engine code is BLPhere is a list of the possible codes this fault can cause17443/P1035 - Sensor for Nox (G295): Signal Implausible Possible Symptoms . MIL on Possible Causes . Sensor for Nox (G295) faulty Possible Solutions

VW has extended the warranty on your catalitic converter, check with them, the engine light comes as a result of the catalitic .
