He seems to be saying "People think I am rapping. I'm not rapping. I'm just singing badly." As Myridon says, "off key" means using the wrong pitch for the notes in the song. M

Brazil - In a city in the State of Goiás Brazilian Portuguese Question: Still using #2 and #3 definitions above, is it natural/correct to use "off-key" either to refer to a temporary condition or a permanent one in the examples that I created below in current everyday English? a. Stive is a great singer, he very rarely sings off-key. b. Sarah isn't a very good singer. She sings off-key.
