Hello all forummers,I just bought a 2nd hand 2002 Sonata. Here are few question I would like to ask:1: The car is equipped with hyundai skyguard (somekind of tracking system). How do activate the system. Is it worth to activate it?2: Is it wise to replace the cat converter on the car. Any bad effect? any sonata owners had done it?3: Is it normal for sonata to have a mild vibration when in 'D' position otherwise negligible in 'N'.4: I notice the seat and trim is not 100% leather. Is it true? So how they claim the sonata come with leather seat. Or maybe the privious owner change it.5: How do I start the car if I lose the remote or immobiliser transponder? Can the immobiliser be bypassed?6: Is it true that Sonata 2.0 engine is same build with Mitsui Evo engine? Are the parts interchangeable? because I read somewhere on the net, 4G63 code name is Sirius whereas the Sonata engine is Sirius II. If true how come the engine is not powerful as evo?Thank you all sifus!

I also own a 2002 sonata. If there is slight vibration in engine when gear is at "D", it could be worn out engine mountings. There are 4 pieces and the cost is around RM1,100 if purchased at your Service Agent. Installation not included. The seats are semi-syhthetic. Skyguard cannot locate your car but can inactivate your car. If you lose your immobiliser transponder, what about your spare transponder in card form ? Good car. I have travelled about 100K km since 2002. Excellent long distance cruiser. Another thing to check out is that the 2002 model sometimes have a defective air-bag sensor - light always on if reset will come back after a few days - about RM600 to replace defective part.
