Hi Scotty, 

I drive a 2014 Volvo XC60 T6. While driving the other day, I noticed a knocking noise and vibration in the steering column when accelerating from a stop. The sound doesn't seem to be linked to turning the steering wheel. But instead, the stopping and going of the car. If I come to *super* gentle stop, there is no noise when I accelerate. Otherwise, it makes three knocking sounds that I can feel in the steering wheel and goes away. The model is known for front struts mounts, but I'm worried it's a steering gear assembly. I drove down a steep hill the other day, and it felt like a boat on the ocean. I work on a construction site, and the suspension makes no noise (squeak, knock, rub, etc.) on our bumpy gravel road.

Well jacking up and do my video test how to check out your own car suspension. If not that to find any clunking noise do my video finding the source of car noises
