    ĐKXĐ: x \(\neq\) – 3

    x² + \(\frac{9x²}{(x+3)²}\) = 40

    ↔ (x+3)² . x² + 9x² = 40 ( x+3)²

    ↔ x² ( x² + 6x + 18 ) = 40x² + 240x – 360

    ↔ x\(^{4}\) + 6x³ – 22x² -240x – 360 =0

    ↔ x\(^{4}\) – 6x³ + 12x³ – 72x² + 50x² – 300x + 60x – 360 = 0

    ↔ ( x-6) . x³ + 12x² ( x-6) + 50 x ( x-6) + 60 ( x-6) = 0

    ↔ ( x-6) ( x³ + 12x² + 50x + 60) = 0

    ↔ ( x-6) (x+2)(x² + 10x + 30) = 0

    => x -6 = 0 hoặc x+2 = 0 hoặc x² + 10x + 30 = 0

    => x = 6 hoặc x = -2 ( x² + 10x + 30 = 0 có Δ = -5 <0 → vô nghiệm)

    vậy x = 6 hoặc x = -2
