a user subscription is someone who has subscribed to you as a user, meaning every time you post they get an email.

a plain subscription refers to people who have subscribed to an individual fic of yours, they get an email every time that fic updates.

since some of you apparently cannot accept the short answer here’s the longer one:

we see the total number of bookmarks, subscriptions, kudos, comments and hits that the fic has when we look at our statistics page.

thats the total number of bookmarks. we cannot click that number and see who has bookmarked our fic. just like we cant click any of those other things. you have to click the hyperlink to the story (the thing thats underlined there) to take you to the fic

then it shows you the public stats

there it shows you the public bookmarks, and notice that there’s a hyperlink. you can click on that and see everyone who’s bookmarked it publicly and the tags they have on it.

join a discord server! chances are someone in there will do it for you

ask someone who youre friends with online

im pretty sure you can also google betas and find people that way but i could be wrong.

As you said, it's an archive. You don't moderate archives. You might put certain things in a diffetent area or warn patrons about them, but hey, that's what warnings and ratings are for.

moderating or regulating one specific kind of thing on ao3 opens the door for more moderation of other things. in order for ao3 to remain the way it is it needs to continue to be unmoderated.
