I just looked— I have 132 user subscriptions and 953 subscriptions. I have no idea how that fits in to the norms though. My advice in fandom is to find the corner that makes you happiest and just focus on that rather than raw numbers— “a lot” of comments in a rare pair will be nothing compared to the number a popular ship gets, but it’s all relative anyway ❤️ I was writing fic for 15 years before suddenly gaining a ton more momentum just about a year ago.
