Bài Tập Về Từ Nối/liên Từ (Linking Words/conjuctions)

Những liên từ thường được sử dụng trong câu dùng để nối các từ, cụm từ, mệnh đề hoặc các câu với nhau. Những liên từ này có thể là những từ đơn như and, but, or, because, although,… hoặc có thể là một ngữ như in order that, as soon as, as if,… hay từng cặp một như either…or, neither…nor, not only…but also, both…and, v.v… Bên cạnh đó, những liên từ kết hợp như and, but, or, so, dùng để nối các từ, nhóm từ, mệnh đề hoặc các câu độc lậ với nhau. Còn những liên từ phụ thuộc từ when, if, whether, while,… dùng để mở đầu cho một mệnh đề phụ (mệnh đề danh từ hoặc mệnh đề trạng từ). Bạn có thể sử dụng khi giao tiếp, văn bản, thuyết trình. Bài tập 1: Điền từ thích hợp vào chỗ trống:

Bài tập 3: Viết lại câu sau bằng cách sử dụng những từ gợi ý

1. She is in London. She is in Berlin, too. (either … or)
2. He wasn’t an idler. He wasn’t a gambler. (neither … nor)
3. He isn’t likely to be present at the meeting. I’m not either. (neither … nor)
4. The computer can gather facts. It can store them. (not only … but also)
5. This prize will mean an honour for him. It will mean an honour for us. (not only … but also)
