Frequently Asked Questions
GET IN TOUCHThe 2391-52 is considered a benchmark in the electrical industry for verifying one’s knowledge and skills in inspection and testing. Consequently, many employers require this qualification for their electrical workforce, and it can significantly enhance your CV. Additionally, the 2391 qualification can support your applications for industry schemes like JIB ECS cards and membership in competent person schemes, including NICEIC or Napit.
What experience do I need? This qualification is intended for practising electricians, holding a relevant level 3 qualification (such as C&G 2365/2357/2330/8282/5357/5393, equivalent historic qualifications or other awarding organisation equivalent).
Candidates not holding a relevant Level 3 qualification will be required to complete a skills scan to confirm eligibility.
We recommend that candidates have at least six months of industry experience in various electrical installations.
Furthermore, candidates are encouraged to participate in our inspection and testing refresher course, which provides hands-on experience with electrical installations.
Is it a difficult course? The 2391-52 course is intended to evaluate your thorough knowledge of inspection and testing. It’s common for some candidates to find the content challenging. While the course itself is not practical, it does include practical assessments. We recommend that candidates possess a solid understanding of inspection and testing procedures before enrolment and that they participate in our practical inspection and testing refresher course to confirm their knowledge meets the necessary standards before commencing the course.
