#1 · Nov 24, 2011 What ones would you go for, I have the projector head lamps on my Sri, now I've had 8k ultra kit ones before and had no problems at all. Now I've just fitted a hid's direct 6k and the lights seems to be more dazzeling when you look at my car head on I'm sure my other kit on my old Sri wasnt like this any ideas? Also what's the difference between h7 - h7r? Sort by Oldest first Oldest first Newest first Most reactions #2 · Nov 24, 2011 h7r are the ones that reduce glare. so for pre face lights theyre recommended so you dont blind everyone! #3 · Nov 24, 2011 normal h7 should be fine in projectors, your lights may need to be realigned if you've put new bulbs in, beam pattern is probably too high so they look brighter when you look at them #4 · Nov 24, 2011 As said, H7R include an opaque reflector lens over the top of the bulb so that the light is reflected back into the headlight, rather than dazzling other cars. For projectors, you can use H7 fine. As for the dazzling, could merely be headlight alignment... get it checked at an MOT testing station, should only cost around £5, if they even charge you at all #5 · Nov 24, 2011 Think this is what i might be, i've got the other bulbs i used in my other SRI which were fine so going to stick one of each in to see if it is the bulbs or alignment #6 · Nov 24, 2011 It will dazzle you at some point, usually if you get about 5 metres from the front of the car and squat down you'll be in the eyeline... depending how tall you are. It's like when a car is coming over the brow of the hill at night towards you and they almost blind you with their lights, its just cos it's focused on that particular spot. Drive up to a wall, or do a squat test and have a look and see if they appear to be aiming higher than normal... that'll give you a quick free indicator of whether it might be alignment or not 0 Reply #7 · Nov 24, 2011 I think ive just got to the bottom of it, although the beam on the ground seems fine I noticed shadows on signs on the side of the road from my lights, i no there alot brighter ect so this is normal, so ive just put one of my old ones in and kept one of my new ones in. When i turned the car on i noticed my passenger side motor is bloody noisy to have a feeling that one isnt adjusting right, were as the drivers side is nice and quite and quick This is an older thread, you may not receive a response, and could be reviving an old thread.
