H7R only has half the light in the top half of the bulb, so it hits the reflector and emits light downwards. H7 is 360 degrees full light. In theory its suppose to be safer so you don't blind oncoming traffic. I have the H7, and don't have any problems blinding people. In fact I'm thinking on adjusting my lights to have them raised. I personally would get the H7's again. But its your choice. alx_chung

If I rememeber correctly (see the 2 main threads about HIDs that are in this section) the H7R's are anti glare HID bulbs and the H7s are just the normal HID bulbs. Alex Moley RUFC

Sep 4, 2008 156 0 just ordered some H7s . . . . the 6000k ones (not anti-glare - if I feel like they're blinding other drivers, you can just adjust the beam with the headlight height adjuster ) should be here tomorrow!! :D ASQ1983

Apr 27, 2017 12 0 Kendal Dont believe to anyone who post on forum as he/she may have less idea than you! H7 hid bulbs are ONLY to use in projector type headlights! H7R are bulbs that should be used in standard reflector type headlights! LEONs have reflector type headlights and if you put standard H7 bulb it wont light up road ahead properly ,light will be distracted in all directions and range of light will be much shorter than on H7R. Also you will be blinding other drivers and regulation wont help as light is still 360 even if when you will lower them max down. You wont see ahead properly at night as light wont be directed ahead !. You will think you are awesome cos your lnew HID are now super strong as cars on other line will blink their high beams on you thinking you are driving on high beams too. They (H7R) are called anti-glare but this is not because they have magic anti glare properties- they just designed for different headlight so light is directed not dispersed as it should for projector light ( that has internal mirrors to direct light) Show hidden low quality content You must log in or register to reply here.
